The Shri Spectacular
Last year for our annual event we held our “Sponsor-A-Spot” event, and this year we’re switching it up!
Instead of teachers practicing and asking friends and family to “sponsor their spots,” (yoga mats) we are purchasing Shri Lanterns and asking friends and family to “Light Our Lanterns!” with sponsorships at various levels that will in turn fund free outreach classes for those in need through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Lanterns can be personalized by each sponsor in memory of someone or dedicated to a specific cause or purpose. The deadline for messages to be considered for display on the paper scrolls is Wednesday September 18th at 5:00 pm; all other messages will be digital.

The light installation will open at 6:00 pm on October 5th with a complimentary drink, food, cash bar (with speciality named cocktails & mocktails), live music and the presentation of the Shri Spotlight Awards will follow! Christina Erne from NBC 10 will emcee the evening with Alison Bologna.
The cost for this fundraiser is the same as any other event at Shri, and 100% of proceeds fund free Shri programs.

Our live musical performance by Consuelo Sherba will celebrate the spirit of Shri in its new home at 390 Pine Street in Pawtucket.
A Pawtucket resident, Consuelo is a violist and the artistic director and a founding member of the performance ensemble Aurea.
Consuelo has been on the applied music faculty at Brown University since 1986, teaches at the RI Philharmonic Music School and performs with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, The Vermont Symphony and Buzzard’s Bay Music Festival and has served as principal violist of the Simon Sinfonietta and the Boston Virtuosi.
We are thrilled to have Consuelo’s support at Shri.
